The photographs included in this portfolio are divided into four separate series, categories independent of either time or location. This series follows a personal challenge to record atmosphere through a camera lens; each of these photos was shot under conditions that favor pastels, whether the thick air of China smog or Alaskan low-lying clouds, or even simply a particularly bright day that whitewashes the scene. These images seek to manage the difficult balance between exhibiting the scene’s captivatingly soft colors while carefully maintaining image quality.
