The Memory Wall is an exploration of a smaller scale of interactive design, focused around the emerging issues surrounding aging in place. The goal of the project was to develop a practical product that addressed the mental, physical, and spiritual difficulties of aging in a marketable aesthetic. The Memory Wall was thus developed with several varying considerations: the design quality of a kitchen, the ease of reproducing and modify the equipment, and the avoidance of any negative stigmas that might come with age-related products; so a functionality and interest beyond the intended relation to dementia was manifest.
